HALWA (Enjoy with Aloo Channa and Whole-Wheat Chappati Recipes)

Ingredients:

Cooking Oil Spray
Sooji (Semolina)
1 1⁄2 Tablespoons
Whole Wheat Flour
1 1⁄2 Tablespoons
Non-fat Dry Milk Powder
1 Tablespoon
Saffron
1⁄4 Teaspoon
Sugar
4 Teaspoon
Yellow Food Color
few drops
Water
1 1⁄2 Cups
Cooking Oil Spray
butter flavor

Preparation mode:

  1. In a small non-stick saucepan, over medium heat, evenly spray cooking oil for 3 seconds.
  2. Add sooji, flour, milk powder and saffron and roast for 7 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  3. Add sugar and food color; spray cooking oil for another 3 seconds into the mixture and stir quickly.
  4. Add water, stir, and reduce heat to lowest setting; cover and cook for 7 to 10 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and spray butter flavor cooking oil for 2 seconds.
  6. Enjoy with Aloo Channa and Whole Wheat Roti (Chappati).
